State of Cinema

What Matt Damon told us is that filmmaking has changed. For streamers, it is now about eyeballs over vision. With audiences watching on phones and sofas, plots are being repeated in dialogue just to keep distracted viewers in the loop. But as the gap between mega-budgets and indie gems grows, a bigger shift is happening: cinema is no longer the cultural pillar it once was, and the balance of power is finally shifting toward the audience.
