Used to work in call centre which due to nature of the job used to cold call people and result used to hear loads of excuses. Decided to share some of the more amusing ones.

• Not in – Yet you can clearly hear the person in the background asking who it is.
• At work
• Driving – “Oh shit driving just gone past a police car”
• Fish tank issues – Once had women who fish tank started to leak over her front room and could hear the pump in the background.
• Lottery – Sorry just won the lottery
• Having a shower – Having a shower I can’t talk right now
• Can’t talk leaving the house – Yet again like at work still answered the phone
• Already done that but have no idea what it means
• Having sex – Having sex with my sister
• Cooking food

I can’t remember every single detail but some of the excuses did hear when on the phone.  Some are understandable others just down right silly.
