Music monday: Deepest well by Kacey Musgraves

Music Monday: Deeper Well by Kacey Musgraves

After the absolute Madness of March, I found myself looking for a total reset. Between trying to avoid the news and ducking the day-to-day nonsense, I’ll admit I struggled to find the right theme for April.

Then it hit me: Renewal is the perfect choice.

If March was the chaotic start of spring, Renewal is the steady transition before we hit the summer heat. Of course, that left me with a new problem, finding the right tracks to fit the mood. So, follow me every Monday this month as I share some light relief (or maybe just some free music therapy for myself). It’s the perfect excuse to tune out the world and just listen.

Stay tuned every Monday as we clear out the old and make room for the new.

Without further ado lets dive into some music. Start things off with “Deeper Well” by Kacey Musgraves.

Normally don’t listen to much acoustic music, yet this song is all about getting rid of bad habits. Tuning out of the nonsense. It is all about personal growth. Renewal in a way. Looking for better things, an anthem for resilience really. It is soft slow yet powerful as a song. It is good as a track and I am glad I found it.

Every time I listen to this song, it reminds me of my childhood. It grounds me and makes me smile. There are not many bits of music that can do that. I do love how it is put together, not just the lyrics. It is simple and not complicated yet it hits the right vibe. This is the first time I have listened to something from her. It is making me reflect and it is very relatable. That is a sign of a good artist and songwriter.
